111 degrees during the day, and 86 degrees at night.
I think I can say that this year is probably the worst year of my life. So much misfortune and bad health for my family...it's heartbreaking. Please pray for my Uncle Nelio and my family during this very difficult time.
I'm sick of having sad family reunions..
I'm sick of wearing black..
and I'm sick of seeing my family cry.
Can this year end already..

| The long-awaited summer of 2008 is finally here, and I am lovin it!
My summer started GREAT.
During dead week, I got an email from On Camera Audiences saying that I got free tickets to the American Idol Finale. It was one of those things where I just signed up for the fun of it. But because my finals ended right before the finale, it was perfect! I'm so glad it pulled through, thanks Christine and Ernani!
So I changed my flight to the OC instead of SD, and spent a couple days in Ernani's house in Riverside. We got to downtown LA and waited in line for like 3 hours to get our actual tickets. We saw "Owen Wilson"! haha. We were SOOO close to not getting tickets, which would've sucked. But God seriously loves us cuz we barely made it. I feel bad for the people who were at the back of the line....but then again, YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE B*TCHESSSSSSSSS! LOL I'm just kidding, I did feel bad for them. That is why we contained our shouts of joy after receiving the tickets until we were out of viewing distance :P
Cameras and phones weren't allowed, but I sneaked my camera in my hood. I got really nervous though cuz there were metal detactors and when I went through, it beeped. But the security lady stopped the guy behind me. LOL sowee. Anyways, the theater looked waaaay smaller in person than how in looks on tv. Ryan and the judges then came out and it felt so surreal. Fastforward>>> Bryan Adams, Donna Summers, Iggy Pop ZZ Top, One Republic, Jonas Brothers, George Michael.....oh yeah and David Cook and David Archuleta. We saw a bunch of old American Idol finalists....Christine saw TAMERA! haha. Overall, it was AMAZING and a lot of fun. We ate at BJ's and all I gots to say about that is: PIZOOKIE!!
I spent a few days in Irvine....thanks for everything Christine and Melanie! I tried Pinkberry for the first time (hea-ven-ly) and went shopping at a mall Kobe Bryant shops at. (BTW, YEAAAAAH LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NBA FINALS, LET'S DO THIS). Since that, I've been in sunny San Diego. The weather's been nothing less than perfect....but I've just been kinda bored cause I've had no one to play with. Hurry up and finish finals guys!! lol.
But I have been spending a lot of time with family lately which is always good.  SDSU finishes early as well so it's just been me and my brother being bums around the house.

LOLLLLLLLLLL i'm so mean. It's all out of love! hahaha.
I''ve also been spending time with my grandpa. For anyone who knows someone witth Alzheimer's, you really learn to cherish the simple things. And even though he may not remember my name, whenever I say, 'Hi Tay! It's Elaine!"...and the simple response, "How are you?" can mean so much. I pray everyday that he stays with us for a long time.

In other news, my sister's wedding is in 4 weeks!!! ahhhhhh. I never realized the different duties the maid of honor has to do and I seriously feel like a deer in headlights cuz I've never done any of this. Take for example, bridal showers and all the organizing. Thank goodness no stripper is involved because I DO NOT wanna make that call.LOL. I've been researching games and there's this one game that involved a toilet paper roll and a broomstick (Use your imagination on that one haha) Yeah..I dont think I'll be able to explain that one to my aunties and my mom haha.
But weddings are soooooooo fun. I can't wait till mine! haha. ::CAUTION: GIRLY RANT IN 3..2...1:::
I LOVE my MOH dress! I got to pick the style I wanted. And let me say, it is soooo mermaid/Jessica Rabbit-ish (minus the big boobs and huge slit LOL). Ahh I love it!
Yeah that's pretty much it so far. Thanks for reading this novel-length entry :) I promised myself that I'll write in this more often, so I'll be back..hopefully lol. Laterrrrrrrrr!

And I will spend the day at final review sessions.
Oh the woes of having your birthday during finals week.
I'm hereby postpone by birthday till summer break! =P
